It combines national resources with a local hands-on approach. As Senior Project Manager, you oversee overall safety, direction, completion, and financial outcome of projects from initial budget through closeout.

Safety is the number one priority, and you promote safe work practices while establishing operational priorities with project management and field supervision teams. You facilitate subcontractor bid processes, negotiate buyouts, and develop subcontracts. Plan and schedule projects while managing jobs in progress, including coordination and conflict resolution.

Maintain positive relationships with internal and external project team members and support departments. Provide leadership by building relationships, motivating others, and mentoring less experienced staff. Communicate effectively in written and verbal forms across all levels.

Be heavily involved in strategic planning, growth, and direction of the workplace market segment team. Interact with clients to pursue potential work, prepare presentations, and negotiate new business. Manage projects up to $50 million while understanding workplace design trends.

Requirements

  • B.S. in Construction, Engineering, or related degree
  • 10 - 15 years project management experience
  • Collaborative with a natural ability to build and maintain strong working relationships
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Detail oriented
  • Capable of managing projects up to $50 million in size
  • Understand current trends and styles in workplace design and systems

Responsibilities

  • Ensure customer satisfaction by identifying and exceeding client needs
  • Estimate, value engineer, and support development of project budgets
  • Facilitate the subcontractor bid process including processing, distribution, and tracking
  • Negotiate subcontractor and material buyout; develop and negotiate subcontracts
  • Plan and schedule projects
  • Manage jobs in progress including subcontractor coordination, conflict resolution, documentation, quality, and safety
  • Manage project costs through ongoing evaluation of labor, material, and equipment; forecast costs, exposures, and profits
  • Perform project closeout
