Be on the construction site daily as Amazon's owner's representative, interacting with construction trades. Drive cost, schedule, and quality while managing vendors and contractors. Own everything from design review to construction execution and final hand-off.

Work alongside diverse teams of software, hardware, network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, and operations managers. Manage construction project oversight for new builds and capital projects, owning scope, quality, schedule, and budget. Interface with general contractors through bidding, award, execution, and closeout. Conduct constructability reviews and ensure quality control on electrical and mechanical systems.

Requirements

Experience in construction project management for data centers or large-scale builds
Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems in data center construction
Familiarity with managing general contractors and construction vendors
Proficiency in construction bidding, negotiations, and proposal evaluation
Ability to perform constructability reviews and quality control
Skills in handling RFIs, submittals, change orders, and invoicing
Competence in financial analysis for construction projects
Leadership in troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for equipment failures

Responsibilities

Direct interface with construction general contractors during bidding, award, execution, and project closeout
Conduct negotiations with general contractors and evaluate bids/proposals
Create construction project scope and requests for proposals
Perform financial analysis of construction
Manage construction projects for data center resiliency initiatives
Conduct constructability reviews of electrical and mechanical designs
Manage construction documents including submittal review, RFIs, change orders, and invoicing
Ensure construction project quality control and report key metrics
