About this role

Audubon is currently seeking a Carpenter/Concrete Finisher II to join our team in our Offsite Office. This role performs skilled carpentry work involved in construction, maintenance, and repair. It ensures facilities maintain a safe and efficient condition.

Perform tasks involving physical labor on construction projects, including layout, interior framing, cold form metal framing, gypsum board installation, rebar installation, door, frame, and hardware installation. Handle acoustical ceiling installation, millwork installation, and other assigned duties. Safely use power tools such as saws, drills, planes, sanders, routers, and grinders.

Demonstrate knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in the construction or repair of buildings and other structures. Apply knowledge of survey principles and layout of foundation forms and building framing. Determine the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job.

Requirements

  • Three years' experience in the construction industry
  • Three years' experience as a craft carpenter
  • Proven experience as civil construction carpenter
  • Related trade school education is preferred
  • Ability to read drawings, plans and blueprints
  • In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment and HSE guidelines
  • Knowledge of civil construction and quality assurance practices and procedures
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment screening that includes background and drug testing

  • Utilize survey principles and layout of foundation forms and building framing
  • Perform duties protecting personal and team health and safety
  • Identify and report hazards, near misses, and unsafe conditions
