The Site Safety and Health Officer serves as a technical resource with experience regarding OSHA, state, USACE, EPA, and industry standards. Responsible for the day-to-day implementation of project specific Health and Safety Programs. Acts as a liaison between Project or Technical Managers and the subcontractor and client.

This is a field project position that will require extensive travel to project sites. Work on civil, HTRW, and other USACE projects in multi-employer worksites with tradesmen, contractors, and general laborers. Support infrastructure improvement and utilities projects with familiarity in MUTCD requirements.

Serve as the onsite team Site Safety & Health Officer and establish excellent working relationships with clients and field teams. Work with the Superintendent to deliver effective daily safety talks utilizing relevant content. Generate and ensure all project documentation including Daily Reports and Safety Audits.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or nondegree candidate with 5 years continuous safety experience
  • Minimum of 5 years continuous construction safety experience
  • OSHA 30 Hr Construction Safety Training
  • Direct experience supporting high risk work such as excavation, scaffolding, confined space entry, demolition, fall protection, LOTO, crane lifts, electrical work, heavy equipment, and respiratory protection
  • Experience working on multi-employer work sites with tradesmen, contractors, general laborers
  • Experience with infrastructure improvement and utilities projects
  • Familiarity with MUTCD requirements (Traffic Control & Design)
  • Certified in Red Cross First Aid, CPR, and Bloodborne Pathogens, or able to obtain
