About this role
We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager / Site Superintendent to serve as the on-site leader for environmental remediation and residential earthmoving projects across multiple locations. This high-travel role requires approximately 90% travel, with assignments ranging from 2 weeks to 2 months. The role demands full-time on-site presence during active construction operations.
As the primary on-site point of contact, oversee all project work with strong field leadership and hazardous waste cleanup oversight. Plan, coordinate, and supervise daily field operations while managing subcontractors, equipment, materials, and workforce scheduling. Interpret construction plans and specifications to ensure smooth execution.
Operate effectively across varying regulatory environments, supervising hazardous waste cleanup personnel and ensuring compliance with transportation and disposal regulations. Enforce OSHA and environmental safety standards, conducting jobsite safety meetings and toolbox talks. Coordinate environmental documentation and regulatory reporting as required.
Maintain HAZWOPER compliance and site-specific safety plans while tracking site costs routinely. Identify and resolve field conflicts and technical discrepancies to keep projects on schedule and within budget. Ideal for candidates with proven track record in residential earthmoving operations.
Requirements
- Minimum three (3) years' experience within the past seven (7) years managing and supervising hazardous waste cleanup personnel
- Working knowledge of hazardous materials transportation and disposal regulations
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
- Working knowledge of federal and state construction safety regulations
- OSHA 10-Hour Construction Outreach Training (required)
- 40-Hour OSHA HAZWOPER Training with current 8-Hour annual refresher (required)
- Experience providing site-specific training to field workforce
