The Forklift Driver / Material Handler handles and places materials needed within each department of the home building facility. Operate a forklift to provide materials to the plant and receive deliveries from vendors. Check off deliveries against packing slips, put materials in respective areas, and ensure timely delivery to departments. Rotate materials by date and delivery while checking quality and state of received materials.
Home Building Team Members perform manufacturing production operations in the home building process, following standard methods and safe work habits. Production teams ensure homes meet sales orders, prints, specifications, building codes, and high-quality standards in a timely manner. Work inside year-round, out of direct sun and snow.
Starting base pay $21/hr plus production bonus after four weeks, with current average total pay $29/hr. Career development opportunities with potential base pay increase to $22-24/hr based on position. No experience needed; will train for success in the field.
Requirements
- No experience needed; will train
- Previous construction or warehouse experience preferred
- Forklift operating experience or certification preferred; training available
- Practice safe work habits observing OSHA regulations
- Work in team environment to achieve productivity objectives
- Serve as good steward of company assets, keeping areas clean and orderly
- Assist Team Leader to plan manufacturing activities and communicate material shortages
