Looking to build your career and design your future? Responsible for completing detailed and itemized material quantity estimates from owner or contractor furnished plan sets. Use designated Estimating Application for accurate takeoffs in interior finishes.

Complete detailed material quantity estimates from provided plan sets. Communicate with senior or lead to clarify unusual or special material issues. Determine accurate quantities of related materials and check if they meet local/state/federal specifications.

Work closely with project managers and other team members to understand project specifications. Thrive in a friendly, fast-paced, team-oriented environment where accountability and a can-do attitude are necessary. Handle tight deadlines with a keen eye for detail and analytical skills.

Perform most tasks on a computer in a comfortable indoor area with mild physical discomfort possible. Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time. Build your career with a growing close-knit team helping design homes.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 0-2 years of experience in material estimating related to construction materials
  • Experience in installations of commercial flooring preferred
  • Experience in reading architectural plans, blueprints, plan drawings and/or schematics
  • Experience with CAD, RFMS Measure, Callidus, Blue Beam, and/or other Estimating Applications or digital drawing tools
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet, and Cloud Storage Applications
  • Excellent organization, mathematical skills, and understanding of the construction process

Responsibilities

  • Complete detailed and itemized material quantity estimates from owner or contractor furnished plan sets using designated Estimating Application
  • Communicate with senior or lead to clarify any unusual or special material issues
  • Determine accurate quantities related to materials as measured from provided plan sets
  • Determine if supplied materials meet local/state/federal specifications
  • Identify materials required for the construction of facilities
  • Refer complex, unusual problems to supervisor
  • Work under tight deadline demands in a fast-paced environment
