Confidently operate large and general construction plant equipment such as medium excavators, skid steers, medium rollers, and trucks. Get involved in hands-on road worker duties when needed, carrying out machinery operation, labouring tasks, and basic maintenance like safety checks and refuelling.
Work as part of a team and sometimes independently, following WHS and environmental guidelines while managing risks. Help keep work running smoothly by solving routine issues and escalating concerns to managers for clarifications.
Bring a safety-first mindset and hands-on skills from civil construction experience. Be adaptable, switching between operating plant and on-the-ground roadwork, with openness to gaining additional licences or tickets needed for the role.
Requirements
- Hands-on skills and safety-first mindset from civil construction experience
- Ability to confidently operate plant equipment such as skid steer loader
- Experience following WHS and traffic management requirements
- Current Construction Industry White Card
- Class C driver licence (minimum P1)
- Willingness to obtain Traffic Controller certifications for Implement Traffic Control Plans and Prepare Work Zones within 3 months
- Openness to gaining additional licences or tickets
