General Operative

We are searching for General Operatives to join our new team carrying out works in Windsor and Maidenhead. As an integral part of the team, you will work alongside Foremen and Supervisors to ensure all works are completed safely and effectively. This full-time role is based in various locations within Operations.

Day-to-day tasks involve hands-on manual work such as shovelling and lifting materials to support highway maintenance projects. You will set up pedestrian barriers and maintain site housekeeping to keep areas clean and hazard-free. Operating tools and equipment forms a key part of the routine under supervision.

The team environment emphasizes collaboration with Foremen, Supervisors, and crew members on dynamic sites. Reporting to a Supervisor, you will contribute to safe operations in a structured highways setting. Training supports your integration into the workflow.

Opportunities include attending competence-related safety training, inductions, and briefings like SSRA and RAMS. Forklift training is provided for picking up and delivering products. Gain hands-on skills with handheld tools such as disc cutters and whackers through on-site refreshers.
