About this role
As a Quantity Surveyor at Al Shirawi Group, manage commercial aspects of construction projects including payments, variations, and certifications. Ensure timely submissions and follow-ups to maintain project financial health. Focus on joinery costing and QS works in a dynamic building trades environment.
Handle day-to-day tasks like tracking project commercial status, preparing variation costs, and submitting payment applications. Verify scopes against contract BOQ, compare drawings, and raise claims for changes. Maintain logs for variations, RFIs, instructions, and certifications.
Review client draft contracts and modify subcontractor agreements to align with main contracts. Certify subcontractor billings after site cross-checks and attend commercial meetings with contractors and clients. Alert operations on critical issues like de-scopes, long lead items, and cashflow problems.

Requirements
- Diploma or Graduation in Engineering/Graduation in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
- Experience in Joinery Costing and QS works
- Ability to verify scope against contract BOQ
- Skill in comparing IFT and IFC drawings
- Proficiency in reviewing and commenting on draft contracts
- Knowledge of subcontractor agreement modifications
- Capability to evaluate and certify subcon billings at site
Responsibilities

- Maintain logs for variations, instructions, RFIs, PA, PC
- Perform quantity takeoffs and prepare scope-wise packages
