About this role
As a Professional Surveyor, provide land surveying knowledge and required procedures to assist in the planning, implementation, correction, and quality review to complete assigned tasks. Perform and/or review technical procedures for topographic, boundary, and route surveys. Demonstrate ability to train, supervise, critique others, and provide mentorship.
Project Manager responsibilities include working with DGL management to develop junior project managers, manage survey projects, and expand services. Conduct design review, plan review, and QA/QC on deliverables to clients. Assist in department operations while ensuring client satisfaction and project profitability.
Reports to Survey Manager and Director of Technical Services in a full-time, exempt role. Perform QA/QC on office and field survey work including boundary/right of way surveys and topographic surveys. Balance priorities among multiple projects with high accuracy and organization.

Requirements
- 10 years of previous experience in surveying
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, MicroStation (current DOT L&D CAD tools) and AutoCAD as secondary CAD drafting skill
- Familiarity with Trimble Business Center
- Ability to perform work with high degree of accuracy, organization and within established deadlines
- Ability to work independently and cooperatively on various sized projects
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
- Valid Driver’s License required with a favorable driving record
- Proven success in delivering high quality project submittals
Responsibilities
- Perform QA/QC review on office and field survey work including boundary/right of way surveys, topographic survey work, right of way plan work
- Assist in department operations while ensuring overall client satisfaction and project profitability
- Assist in the development, implementation, training, and mentoring of survey staff
- Manage projects including proposals, budgets, safety, schedule, quality control, invoicing, and project delivery
- Provide land surveying knowledge for planning, implementation, correction, and quality review of tasks
- Review technical procedures for topographic, boundary, and route surveys
- Conduct design review, plan review, and QA/QC on deliverables to clients
