We seek an experienced Senior Cost Manager/Quantity Surveyor as key client interface for value-added cost management service.

Day-to-day involves estimating and negotiating change orders across the construction lifecycle, providing cost planning, and producing final cost plans for presentation. Review estimates with design teams and general contractors, reconcile changes, and communicate status updates. Manage cost controls, quantity surveying, and change processes proactively with minimal supervision.

Provide leadership and direction while embedding Turner & Townsend's purpose, values, and vision. Lead negotiations on contractor pricing, prepare monthly cost reports, and ensure timely final accounts. Compile as-built records for benchmarking on exciting worldwide projects.

Requirements

  • Experience as Senior Cost Manager or Quantity Surveyor in client-facing role
  • Proficiency in cost planning, estimating, and value engineering exercises
  • Skilled in negotiating change orders and contractor pricing
  • Knowledge of construction lifecycle cost controls and quantity surveying
  • Ability to prepare funding presentations and coordinate VE sessions
  • Competence in managing cost variances, contingency, and commitment tracking
  • Proven track record in producing cost reports and benchmarking records
  • Capacity to work proactively with minimal supervision on larger projects

Responsibilities

  • Estimate and negotiate change orders throughout the construction lifecycle
  • Provide estimate and cost planning, producing and presenting final cost plans
  • Review and participate in development of cost estimates with design team and general contractor
  • Perform quantity surveying, cost controls, and change management throughout project lifecycle
  • Produce monthly cost reports for client presentation
  • Review contractor and subcontractor pricing and lead negotiations on behalf of client
  • Manage post-contract cost variances and change control processes
  • Ensure final accounts are negotiated and agreed in timely manner
